You’ve already taken the first step by doing your research. Here's what's next. You schedule a time that's convenient for a 15-minute phone consultation. I'll call you at the scheduled time and we'll briefly discuss your reason for seeking counseling, I'll answer what questions you have, and if you're ready, we'll schedule an initial appointment.
If you're ready to schedule an appointment, here are a few things you need to know.
The first session
If you've never been to therapy before, or you've never been to therapy with me before, you might be wondering what to expect. You can expect a supportive, judgment-free zone. We'll talk about why you came to my office and what you hope to get out of therapy. I encourage you to consider what your goals are for your first session. If you're a list person, make one and bring it. If you can't quite pinpoint what you're looking for, that's ok. I'll ask a lot of questions and we'll come up with some goals together.
Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes. I am not in-network with any insurance companies. If your insurance company offers out-of-network benefits, you can request a form from me to send to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. That means you are responsible for payment at the time of your appointment and your insurance company will determine if you are eligible for reimbursement. If you have questions about this, please email or call me at (713) 936-4909.
